Gryffin è un DJ e produttore americano di musica dance-pop. È nato il 29 Settembre 1987 a San Francisco e si chiama Dan Griffith. Gryffin ha cominciato a studiare pianoforte classico fin dall’età di sette anni e successivamente ha imparato a suonare la chitarra. Ha frequentato l’Università della California, Los Angeles (UCLA), dove ha studiato ingegneria elettrica.
La carriera musicale di Gryffin ha avuto inizio nel 2014, quando ha iniziato a pubblicare remix di canzoni famose di artisti come Tove Lo, Maroon 5, e Years & Years. Nel 2016, ha pubblicato il suo primo singolo originale, “Heading Home”, in collaborazione con il cantante australiano Josef Salvat. Il brano ha riscosso un grande successo, raggiungendo la vetta delle classifiche dance di iTunes e Spotify.
Da allora, Gryffin ha pubblicato molti altri singoli di successo, tra cui “Whole Heart” (2016), “Love in Ruins” (2017) e “Tie Me Down” (2018). Ha collaborato con numerosi artisti di fama internazionale, tra cui Carly Rae Jepsen, Illenium e Noah Kahan.
Il sound di Gryffin è caratterizzato da una miscela di elementi di musica dance, pop e elettronica, con un’attenzione particolare alle melodie orecchiabili e alle sonorità emotive. Le sue performance dal vivo sono molto apprezzate dal pubblico, grazie alla sua capacità di creare un’atmosfera coinvolgente e festosa.
